For you easier understanding we composed a dictionary of abbreviations you will often hear in our company.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0First the basics: RO means Red Orbit, FB means Facebook, GAW means Google AdWords, GA means Google Analytics, IG means Instagram, YT means YouTube, LI means LinkedIN and TW means Twitter. This was easy, right? So, let\u2019s go to the more complicated ones.<\/p>\n<h3>ASAP As soon as possible.<\/h3>\n<p>What can we do? The world of digital marketing is under pressure from urgency and panic. But you know \u2013 the only urgent thing is to die and to pay taxes.<\/p>\n<h3>BR Bounce Rate \u2013 rate of visits to one page<\/h3>\n<p>The Bounce Rate is the percentage of sessions on only one page, i.e. sessions where the visitor left the website from the start page without any interaction.<\/p>\n<h3>CDJ Consumer Decision Journey \u2013 the consumer\u2019s decision-making process<\/h3>\n<p>This one is surely our favourite &#8211; you can find it in all our presentations. The Consumer Decision Journey represents a model theorising the consumer\u2019s behaviour from the moment when a product or brand catch their attention, to the moment when they make the purchase and\/or become familiar with the brand.<\/p>\n<h3>CMS &#8211; Content Management System<\/h3>\n<p>A system to create and edit contents, for example WordPress or Joomla. Usually we will ask you about the CMS when we perform the SEO.<\/p>\n<h3>CPA Cost per Acquisition \u2013 price per purchase<\/h3>\n<p>Because we are a \u00bbperformance\u00ab agency, the CPA is often one of the KPIs, as it represents the average amount you wish to pay for the desired conversion.<\/p>\n<h3>CPC Cost per Click \u2013 price per click<\/h3>\n<p>This one needs no explanation, right? A wider term for CPC is also PPC.<\/p>\n<h3>CPL Cost per Lead \u2013 price per contact<\/h3>\n<p>How much are you willing to pay to get one e-mail address or one contact of your potential customer?<\/p>\n<h3>CTA Call to Action<\/h3>\n<p>When you send us banners, we often pester you for appropriate CTAs. Something must convince the user to click them. READ, CHECK, BUY.<\/p>\n<h3>CTR Click-through rate \u2013 display-click-ratio<\/h3>\n<p>A ratio telling how frequently users seeing your ad also click it. Based on the CTR, you can determine how successful your keywords and ads are. CTR is the number of clicks received by your ad, divided by the number of times the ad was displayed: clicks \u00f7 displays = CTR. For example, if you had 5 clicks and 1000 displays, the CTR=0.5%. A high CTR means that users consider your ad useful and adequate.<\/p>\n<h3>FOMO Fear of missing out \u2013 the fear to miss something<\/h3>\n<p>Modern kids are apparently haunted by the idea that if they miss an event, they will also miss gorgeous and unforgettable moments. That\u2019s why we also hang out on all social networks &#8211; so we won\u2019t miss anything important.<\/p>\n<h3>GDN Google Display Network<\/h3>\n<p>AdWords has two main networks: the search network (with the Google search engine at its centre) and the display network. The latter is a group of over two million websites, videos and applications where AdWords ads can be displayed. We usually imagine the display network as banners.<\/p>\n<h3>GSP Gmail Sponsored Promotion \u2013 ads in Gmail<\/h3>\n<p>These are ads in the Google Display Network that are displayed in the user\u2019s Gmail under the Promotions tab. The user sees a condensed ad at the top of their Google account cards, looking like a received e-mail.<\/p>\n<h3>H2H Human to Human<\/h3>\n<p>Marketing is made for people &#8211; that\u2019s why it\u2019s important to talk with customers very personally. You won\u2019t believe it, but: WOM \u2013 word of mouth is still the best advertiser.<\/p>\n<h3>IO inOrbit<\/h3>\n<p>You don\u2019t know? Based on that, you can evaluate the success in meeting the targets.<\/p>\n<h3>LP Landing page<\/h3>\n<p>The web page that opens when a user clicks on the ad. The landing page experience is created for example by such elements as the usefulness and appropriateness of information on the page, by simplicity of navigation for the user, and the number of links on the page.<\/p>\n<h3>PPC Pay per Click<\/h3>\n<p>A wider description of the term which means advertising where an advertiser pays per click &#8211; and not per display only.<\/p>\n<h3>REM Remarketing<\/h3>\n<p>A function allowing you to reach users who previously visited your website. When users for example leave the website without purchase, remarketing helps to re-establish the contact with them by displaying the appropriate ads.<\/p>\n<h3>ROAS Return on Ad Spend \u2013 the return on advertising<\/h3>\n<p>The target ROAS is the average conversion value (such as the revenues) you wish to achieve for each euro spent on ads. It\u2019s easy, right? For each euro you invest, you wish to get back as much as possible.<\/p>\n<h3>ROPO Research Online Purchase Offline \u2013 research on the internet, purchase in the real world<\/h3>\n<p>This is a trend in consumer behaviour where consumers search for relevant information on the net (research phase) to later make the purchase in a physical store.<\/p>\n<h3>SEO Search Engine Optimization \u2013 optimization of web pages for search engines<\/h3>\n<p>Optimization of web pages for search engines, or what you must do to bring your website to the first page of the Google search engine. Because anything else is for losers.
